Gewurztraminer Hueben Steinbach 2017
Passing on its brilliant yellow colour, this wine will make you discover a powerful nose that develops floral aromas reminiscent of rose, musk and sandalwood. In the mouth the attack is sweet and supple, suave and reveals notes of rose and cooked fruit. The finish is particularly interesting with a touch of acidity that brings out a very fresh side.
This wine has very good ageing potential (this is the case for most of 2017) and I look forward to its long-term evolution.
This wine is absolutely perfect for aperitifs, strong cheeses, as it ages it can be enjoyed with foie gras, fruit desserts.
Minimum: 2-3 years old
Optimal: 4-8 years old

Its mouth starts gently on citrus aromas, the sugar is slightly noticeable but very quickly the typical acidity of Pfingstberg takes over with its mineral aromas and a very present salinity which make this wine so special and so rare.
Pfingstberg is traditionally enjoyed after at least 10 years of ageing and this one, even with its 19 g of residual sugars, is no exception. -

The palate is clearly sweet, supple with aromas of rose, spices, some hints of orange zest and undergrowth. The sweetness is important but the acidity gives it a certain lightness. The balance is well done and the length in the mouth is important with a touch of salinity at the end of the mouth.
