Pinot Gris Grand Cru Zinnkoepfle 2017
The colour is clear yellow with a very open nose of peach, plum and a touch of woody. The palate is fresh with a hint of sweetness, the acidity is frank and brings tension. We will find aromas of peach, quince and crunchy grapes. When I taste this wine (2019) I find it a little closed and think that it would still need to age for some time to provide its full potential.
For the moment, I would keep this wine as an aperitif. With a little ageing, it can be enjoyed with foie gras, sweet and sour dishes and cheeses.
